Warwick Farm Public School
Project Description
Warwick Farm Public School engaged with BFX to design and deliver a complete library furniture fit-out. The schools aim for this project was to turn their library space into a modern 21st century resource centre. The goals were to create spaces for students to work independently or in collaborative groups, a space for classroom learning to assist the teacher librarian and to create easily identifiable junior and senior breakout spaces. Functional book storage and resource storage was also an important factor, as was designing a new circulation counter to fit the space. The new library was to feel calm yet inspiring, with a colour pallet that complemented the schools colours.

Scope
BFX worked closely with the Deputy Principal, Teacher Librarian and P&C Association to identify the schools needs. Six different designs were put forward to the stakeholders with the winning design incorporating a combination of spaces from the six different options. The final plan included spaces to incorporate campfire, cave and watering hole learning spaces.
The design included:
- Custom ‘Big Block’ tiered seating
- Junior and senior breakout spaces including booth seating
- Soft seating and ‘Jotter” tables throughout
- Designated campfire space to assist with class lessons.
- Custom circulation counter
- Ample book storage, custom designed for the space
- Flexible seating included BFX Dynami chairs, ottomans and upholstered lounges
Key Services
BFX attended an initial consultation to identify the schools needs and goals. Many subsequent meetings were held throughout the design and quote process. The space was measured and the design process begun. Both 2D and 3D designs were put together and presented to the school and to the P&C association. After feedback was provided and the designed altered to meet all stakeholder needs, a colour consultation was had at the school. From here BFX were awarded the project and manufacturing begun. Delivery and installation was completed on time.
