Sunshine Coast City Hall
Project Description
Sunshine Coast City Hall is a landmark building located in Maroochydore’s new CBD. Spread over 10 storeys, the 5 green star building was designed with sustainability at its heart. The building is inspired by the shapes and colours of the iconic Glass House Mountains and is intended to blend seamlessly into its built and natural environment. The City Hall features a range of community spaces, Council Offices and green zones. The multi-purpose facility will host a range of council and sponsored events, citizenship ceremonies and community workshops. BFX won the tender to fit-out loose office furnishings for the Council offices. Working with the Council, BFX designed and developed custom furniture pieces with unique specified fabrics and laminates. For this major build BFX followed strict site guidelines for delivery and installation and furniture fit-out.
Scope
- Staged fit-out, working closely with major builder and Council.
- Sit-stand desks, workstations and other modern ergonomic furniture with employee wellbeing in mind.
- Focus work pods with integrated soft wiring for team meetings, focused work and breakout.
- Custom lockers and planter box storage designed specifically for this project.
