Project Description
BFX Furniture Healthcare Division in partnership with Queensland Health supplied furniture for the Rockhampton Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Facility. The brand new $14.3 million facility comprises of over 60 furnished rooms including Adult Residential Accommodation, Withdrawal and Administration, Recreation and Treatment and Family Treatment Rooms. All loose fit-for-purpose furniture was supplied by BFX with a high focus on providing comfortable and durable pieces for a demanding environment with high needs clients. Anti-microbial vinyl and ultra durable fabrics met specific healthcare environment requirements. Key furniture pieces were designed and manufactured by BFX for the project, meeting exact requirements. Calm and relaxing colours were chosen to coordinate with the rooms decor.
Scope
- BFX were chosen as the sole supplier for all loose furniture.
- A wide range of furniture was supplied including lounges, dining chairs, visitor seating, task chairs and general purpose tables.
- Adjustable Ascendo Electronic Sit Stand Desks were paired with Luca Office Chairs.
- Children areas were furnished with Dynami Student Chairs and Cumulus Tables.
- Specialist healthcare furniture solutions included bariatric chairs and bespoke lockable bedside tables.
- All furniture pieces were chosen to meet specific healthcare requirements.
Key Services
BFX worked with the FF&E Procurement Team from Capital and Asset Services Queensland Health. The BFX Major Project Team – Healthcare Division, presented colour options, furniture solutions and provided detailed floor plans to facilitate clear visualisation of the spaces. BFX successfully delivered and installed the furniture on time, meeting a tight deadline provided by the client.
